CF technology laser nozzles


PLAS COM CF Technology laser nozzles have been proven through extensive testing in the field to produce a significant improvement in quality and speed of cut.
Superior performance CF Technology CO2 laser nozzles to fit most of the leading manufacturers laser cutting machines.
PLAS COM CF laser nozzles give a very significant improvement in cut quality over conventional machined nozzles. Additionally it has been found that feedrates can be increased by up to 10% and still achieve improved cut quality. These advantages are a direct result of the mirror finish and curved internal nozzle profile.
Generally speaking, machined nozzles have an internal surface finish of around 1µm. Our CF nozzles have a surface finish of around 0.1µm. This gives better, less turbulent gas flow resulting in the improved cut quality and speed demonstrated in the photographs below.

1/8" thick Stainless Steel plate cut using 0.060" standard machined nozzle.

The same plate cut using a PLAS COM CF Technology nozzle and 10% faster feedrate.

As you can see there is a very marked improvement in cut quality and this together with increased feedrate offers the end user a significant cost saving through reduced machining time and reduced clean-up.

An added benefit of having a mirror finish in the bore is that if the nozzle is misaligned and 'clipping' of the laser beam occurs then there will be no damage to the nozzle. This contrasts with machined nozzles where a significant amount of damage can occur when misaligned in this way.
